Spinal cord stimulation is a method of relieving pain by stimulating the spinal cord using an array of electrodes inserted in the epidural space and connected to a battery. It is indicated in selected cases of :
• Failed back surgery syndrome
• Adhesive arachnoiditis
• CRPS type 1 and CRPS type 2
• Peripheral neuropathy
• Post herpetic neuralgia
• Phantom limb pain
• Peripheral vascular insufficiency
